Taraqqi Foundation Scholarship

Currently we are providing 6 (six) scholarships annually, to the maximum of 50,000 rupees for students of paramedical/ nursing courses. (वर्तमान में हम पैरामेडिकल/नर्सिंग पाठ्यक्रमों के विद्यार्थियों के लिए प्रतिवर्ष अधिकतम 50,000 रुपये तक की 6 (छह) छात्रवृत्तियां प्रदान कर रहे हैं।)

Information for the Possible Sponsors/Donors

Taraqqi Foundation realizes that there is a big need in the community for financial support for education to the struggling families among the other things. It also realizes that there are donors like you, in the community, who are not having reliable information about the suitable candidates due the lack of time in their busy life, physical distance between them and the candidates etc. Taraqqi Foundation, having dedicated team, strives to bridge the gap and bring the donors and recipients together.

Taraqqi Foundation invites people/ organizations/ other Foundations/ institutions who desire to be part of noble cause of helping financially the disadvantageous students, especially girls, of our society without which they may not be able to realize their full potential of having fulfilling career and positive contributor to our society and our nation.

Taraqqi Foundation invites all not to just donate and forget but to be part journey the current generation takes to be successful by staying in contact with the supported student(s) and mentoring them over time, following their progress to make sure that they are on the right track, and that the desired outcomes are more likely. Taraqqi Foundation team will actively help the donor(s) in this, if so desired. If the donor is not satisfied with the outcome over a reasonable time, he/she may choose to stop further financial assistance to the candidate.

The Foundation will help donors find the desired student(s) profiles by using it team of volunteers in the community and help them in the process of selection, if so desired.

The Foundation believes in the transparency of the donations and their utilization, preventing the mis-use hence can ONLY accept online payments/ payments through the cheques.

Types of Scholarships

You have options choosing from of following different categories as per your likes/ desires/ as per the cause which is close to your heart.

• Sponsoring a student/ several students over few years’ time till candidates are successful.
• Scholarship could be a one-time payment to student(s) of their choice, which may be renewed if you are satisfied with the outcome.
• Sponsoring a fresh student/ a fresh group of students every year for few years/ for rest of your life.

You can name the Scholarship

Taraqqi Foundation wants to make you, the donor, comfortable with the way the scholarship helps the needy students. Depending upon the individual donors’ desires the scholarship can be:

• Anonymous, that is not disclosing the name of the donor officially in public and on the website, and/ or social media; or
• You may choose to name the scholarship in someone’s name, for example, your name, parents’/ relative’s name or in the name of some historical personality etc. In case it is desired to be publicly acknowledged, the Taraqqi Foundation will be more than happy to announce it on its website among the other things.
• If you are one of those donors who wants not to route money through the Taraqqi Foundation account and want to help the student(s) directly, the Foundation will still be more than happy to utilize its ground team to search the deserving candidates if so desired.

Categories of the targeted students for scholarship

Taraqqi Foundation believes in the diversity of donors’ interest. You can choose any of the following students depending on the cause that is close to your heart, the amount being contributed, the duration of the contribution etc.

• Primary and middle school students genuinely struggling with their school fees payment so that they can have a good academic start.
• Students from 9^th through 12^th grade with financial issues to make them ready for a better future being supported by you.
• Students who want to join coaching classes for different professional course admissions/ government job examinations, for example, NEET/ JEE coaching etc.
• Students who have joined some professional course and have very good chance of being financially secure once they finish the course, but currently experiencing financial issues.

What Taraqqi Foundation promises to do for the Donors?

• Ensure that the selection of the students is done as per the criteria set by you, the donor.
• Money is directly paid to the school/ institute and not given to the family, to ensure that it is used for the intended purpose only.
• We would like to display the identity of the scholarship recipient on the website, secrecy will be maintained in exceptional circumstances.
• Announce the Scholarship at the website, if desired/ no objection otherwise.
• Help donor be in contact with the student and help them track the performance of the students over time.
• The donations are covered under the section 80 G of Income Tax Act, and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) for the income tax rebate as per the prevailing Income Tax Rules amended from time to time.

To give you a few examples, you can sponsor a girl student of a widowed mother and help her complete a nursing course like GNM by paying part of her tuition fees directly to the Nursing School; or
You can pay part of the coaching fee for a few students for NEET/ JEE entrance exam directly to the coaching center/ Taraqqi Foundation (which will then pay on your behalf). The next year your criteria may change, and so on.

What Taraqqi Foundation promises to do for the Recipients of Scholarship?

• Fair chance to get selected for the needy students as per the number of donors, amount being donated.
• Continuously follow the students’ progress over time even if the donor is not interested/ not having time for the same.

What Taraqqi Foundation DOES NOT do?

• Accept the cash contribution from anyone for any purpose.
• Divulge the identity of donors, if requested, unless required by the law of the land.
